OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOES NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove does not ignite, check if the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, it means another part will have to be fixed. The reason for the issue could be the infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven with no heat does not do much good. Your oven won’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner will not turn on if an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and fix these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is safe to assume the control board on a stove is broken when the timer or program functions don’t work. In this case, we can replace control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we install for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be because of a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen know how to identify the reason for the problem and then fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is that an igniter will glow but won’t light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We are able to determine whether we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens can have door issues often. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door won’t open and then we complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
